A personalized gift says "I thought about you" before it is even unwrapped. The challenge is choosing the right one: the right product, the right words and the right moment to order. This short guide walks you through the five steps we suggest to every customer who asks us for help.
1. Start with the person, not the product
Before you browse, think about what makes the person special. Is she the grandma who keeps every drawing the grandkids make? Is he the dad who is always outside with the dog? Are you buying for a couple celebrating their first Christmas together? Write down one or two things that describe them. That short list will point you to the right design far faster than scrolling.
2. Pick a gift they will actually use or display
The best personalized gifts become part of everyday life. A few questions help:
- Do they love cozy evenings? A personalized blanket or LED candle is used every day.
- Do they collect decorations? A personalized ornament comes out every December for years.
- Is coffee their ritual? A personalized mug or tumbler is with them every morning.
- Do they like to decorate the home? A wood sign, doormat or night light becomes part of the room.
3. Choose the words carefully
The text is what turns a nice product into a keepsake. Names, a special date, the number of years together, or a short line such as "Our first Christmas" or "Grandma's little elves" all work well. Keep it short so it stays easy to read, and double-check the spelling of every name. Because each item is printed exactly as entered, a typo cannot be fixed after production starts.
4. Use the preview before you add to cart
On every product page you can type the names and details and see a preview of your design before ordering. Take a moment to check the layout, the names and any photo you upload. Photos look best when they are bright, sharp and taken from the front. If you notice a mistake after ordering, email us at support@unixstock.com within 12 hours and we will correct it free of charge if production has not started.
5. Order early enough for Christmas
Every UNIXSTOCK item is made to order. Production takes 1–3 business days, and shipping takes about 7–14 business days to the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, or 9–21 business days to other countries. For delivery before Christmas we recommend ordering by 1 December for the US, Canada, Australia and the UK, and by 20 November for other destinations.
